What is an “In-The-Box” Mix?

An 'In The Box Mix' uses a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) to complete the mixdown process. This requires the use of high quality digital plugins such as Waves, Izotope, and Fab Filter for EQ, Compression, and Fx’s.

What is a 2Track and Vocal Mix?

A “2Track” is a stereo WAV or MP3 file that contains all the instrumental elements of a song in a single two channel audio file. This is more common when artists “lease” tracks from internet producers. A 2Track and Vocal Mix includes mixing of all the individual vocal tracks (Leads, Backgrounds, Ins and Outs, punchlines, Harmony, etc) and the “2Track” instrumental.

What is the “Standard Master”?

I know the importance of comparing your tracks with with already released material, that is why I included my go to mastering chain, The Standard Master, in all my mix packages . This master buss processing includes multi-band dynamics processing, Mid/Side Processing, Stereo Imaging Enhancement and Limiting.

What about Revisions?

Upon completion of the initial mixing, I will deliver an original reference in MP3/AAC format to the artist.

If changes are requested, a complimentary 30 minute session for revisions is included with THE STANDARD MIX. This time is reserved for volume changes, small fx’s changes and other reasonable edits.

After completing the requested changes, the artist will receive the FINAL reference mix in MP3/AAC format. The mix will be considered FINAL upon delivery of the FINAL reference mix.

Any other revisions including but not limited to adding additional instruments or vocals, arrangement changes, additional mixes, and remixes requested after the included complimentary 30 minute revision session and delivery of the FINAL reference, will be conducted at an hourly rate of $50/hr for the first hour and $150/hr every hour after the first. (Exclusions may apply)

What Mix versions are included?

Upon the delivery and approval of the FINAL reference, you will receive the following FINAL mix versions:

- Full Mix
- A cappella Mix
- Instrumental Mix

*All mixes will be delivered in full quality WAV FILES (at the sample rate/bit rate in which the songs were originally recorded).

Any other mix version can be purchased for an additional fee of $25 per version (Radio edits, club mixes, ETC.)

*Hi-Res MP3 and Mastered for iTunes services available.

What is a Professional Mix?

If you are constantly asking yourself - why don’t my tracks hit as hard, or sound as clean, or play as loud? This is your answer. A Professional Mix uses industry specific tools and a professional listening environment to be considered radio ready. This includes renting a professional recording studio equipped with a large format SSL Console, Pro Tools HD, Augspurger Main Monitors, and Yamaha Ns-10s. This has been an industry standard for recording and mixing professionals worldwide for the past 35 Years.

Single Song Recording

Perfect for the independent artists looking to maximize their budget without sacrificing quality.

Payment: *Special* $300 4 Hours Studio time w/Engineer (Contact us for details) . (Normally $75/hr Engineering Fee + Studio Rental)

Full Payment is required before the recording process can begin. This can be completed using paypay before arriving to studio, or by cash upon arriving to studio. Studio time begins when from the time it is book, not when we start recording. For example, if you book a session starting at 3PM, but you are late and do not get to studio till 4PM, you only have 3 hours of studio time remaining. Another example would be if you arrive on time, but have to warm up, get in the vibe, etc, that time is counted in your session time.

What is a single song recording special include?

A Single Song Special includes:

- 4 Hours of studio time
- 4 hours of professional engineering services
- Rough Mix and Master (Studio Time Permitting)

Are you available to record?

Yes, I am available to record at an hourly rate of $75/hr with a 3 hour minimum.

Does your hourly rate include studio time?

No, but thankfully, I have access to a few different studios in event my primary location is unavailable. If applicable, we will negotiate the best rate possible for the studio, though most studios have a 3-4 hour minimum ranging from $50-100/hr.

New Service

*Delivery Requirements*

All Tracks Outs being sent for mixing should be exported at 44.1k/24bit (48K/24bit is also OK)
Contact us for details regarding Higher Sample Rates.

LEAVE OFF THE LIMITER.

Make sure to leave between 3 to 6 db of headroom when bouncing down your master “2Tracks”. This allows for better blending of the music and vocals resulting in a clearer, more accurate mix.

* If you are leasing tracks from internet producers, ask them if they can send you a version “unmastered”*

TURN OFF THE FXs!

If you are a producer, make sure to bypass all fxs and processing before exporting your tracks. If you do some mixing yourself to color your sounds, that is OK. I am more referring to LIMITING process. It is good practice to leave 3-6db of headroom on all your sounds so I have room to maximize the level correctly. If you are a vocalist and are recording at a studio, ask your engineer to give you the vocals “Dry”. If you are recording yourself, bypass all the FXs, including all EQ, Compression, limiting, reverb, delay, etc.
